Recovery Codes

Recovery Codes are the unique codes which are generated when enabling 2Factor authentication.

Recovery Codes are used in a case where you lose the mobile device or do not have access to the mobile device that you have set up the 2FA on, you are able to use any of the codes instead of the 6-digit code which is generated by the Authenticator application.

Please note that a recovery code may only be used one time to login.

How to use recovery codes

Should you not have access to the mobile device on which the Authenticator was setup on, you may use anyone of the recovery codes in the place of the 6-digit code.

Step 1:

On the below screen click the link to use a recovery code, see below

Step 2:

After the clicking the link, the Recovery Code screen will show as below.

Copy and Paste the recovery code in the textbox as shown below.

Click on the Verify Code button.

You will now be logged in on your account.

Lost recovery codes

If the recovery codes are lost, then the 2FA feature will need to be deactivated so that it can be

re-activated and new codes generated.

Please note that AssetPool Support will not be able to assist you with the recovery codes as we do not have access to your Authenticator application.

We advise that the codes be stored in a different mobile device or printed or stored safely on the computer or saved as a screenshot.
