How to assign a Component to an Asset on the Mobile app by searching?

Components can only be assigned to Parents on the same site.


Pre-requisites:

  1. Manage Asset Component permission needs to be enabled.
  2. Permission applies to both Admins and Techs.
  3. Search option needs to be activated on the Account and the Asset type.

 

Step 1: 

To access the menu, tap on the 3 lines menu icon located at the top left and the menu will show. 

Tap on Asset Tools.

Scan Barcode.


Step 2:

Tap on the Asset Components button.

 

     

  

Step 3:

Tap on the + Add to assign, as shown below.


  

Tap on Search to start searching for assets.


  

Type the Barcode or Internal Id or Custom field of the Asset to start searching.


  

Tap on the Asset to select and assign.


  

Assigned Assets will be listed.
