Modified on Wed, 6 Nov at 12:03 PM

  • Components can only be assigned to Parents on the same site.
  • If Component Asset is in a different zone from the Parent, it will be moved to the Parent zone.
  • Components can have different Asset types from the Parent Asset.
  • Components Assets will have a component icon    attached to them after being assigned.

Pre-requisite

  1. Manage Asset Component permission needs to be enabled.
  2. Permission applies to both Admins and Techs.

Step 1:

Navigate to the main menu on the left, under CLIENTS section, click on Client Sites navigation bar item.

On the screen that opens, search for the Site as shown below and click on it.

 Step 5:

You will be taken to the below screen.

Click on the Assign button.

 Step 6:

The Assign Asset pop – up screen will show as below.

Click on the drop-down list and select the zone where the Parent resides.

Then a second drop down list will show.

Select the Component Asset from the list.

A message will then be displayed that the Asset has been assigned.

Note that the option to Transfer the Asset will now be disabled and the option to Detach will be enabled.
