What is a Parent Asset?

A Parent Asset is an Asset that has been assigned an Asset, a Component Asset.
A Parent Asset can have many Components assigned to it.
A Parent can receive a Component Asset from a different zone.
Administrator and Technician users need to have Manage Asset Component permission so that they can assign Components Assets.
On transfer, Parent Asset moves with all the Component Assets, the receiving zone needs to accept all Asset Types.
Parent Assets do not have an Assign to Asset option.
Parent Assets can have Components with different Asset Types.
Parent Asset can be decommissioned, the Components get detached.
Parent Asset can be viewed on all Asset dashboards; they have a Parent icon next to them.
