How to Decommission an Asset?

If the asset is a Parent asset, then the Components get detached from the Parent on decommission.

Step 1:

Navigate to the main menu on the left, under CLIENTS section, click on Client Sites navigation bar item.

On the screen that opens, search for the Site as shown below and click on it.

Step 2: 

Click on the Assets menu item.

 Step 3:

Search for the Parent Asset to be decommissioned as shown below.
Click on the Asset to navigate to the Asset Manager Dashboard.

 Step 4:

You will be taken to the screen below, which shows Asset Manager Dashboard.

Click on Tools menu item as indicated below.

 Step 5:

You will be taken to the below screen.

Click on the Initiate Decommission button.

 Step 6:

The Decommission Asset pop – up screen will show.

Note that the Components will be detached from the Parent Asset.

Fill in the reason for the decommission and click on the Decommission button to decommission.

A message will then be displayed that the Asset has been decommissioned.
